* This mural pays homage to all of our local homegrown heroes. Don't ask me who most of them are, because I couldn't tell you! I recognize about three people on this thing. * 612 x 408 * (50KB)
* This is a pretty cool-looking church along College Ave. * 612 x 408 * (32KB)
* The
se are the shops at the corner of Beaver Ave. & Allen St. The Growing Tree, sitting right on the corner, is the toy shop that I grew up with - most of my innumerable Lego sets came from that store! * 612 x 408 * (35KB)
* Central Parklet - the only park located within the downtown area, and home of the Little Lions (our highschool football team). You can see the field in the background - it was actually built in a natural sinkhole! * 612 x 408 * (41KB)
* Now we journey up onto the Penn State campus. This is the HUB, our student union building. This lawn has been used over the years for innumerable games of Ultimate Frisbee! * 612 x 408 * (23KB)
* A view of the HUB from the front side. Aren't those clouds lovely? Typical State College weather.... * 612 x 408 * (28KB)

* Old Main, our university administrative building and the oldest building on campus. This is where we staged our press conference when I was protesting for more clean energy at PSU! * 612 x 408 * (21KB)
* This is one of the demonic squirrels that live underground, worship in satanic rituals, and plot to take over the world. * 612 x 408 * (45KB)
* This obelisk stands along the main mall on campus, which runs from the main gates at Allen St. (downtown) all the way to Pattee Library. The obelisk is made up of stones which represent a geological survey of the State College area - one stone for every kind of rock available. * 408 x 612 * (33KB)
* This statue of children playing adorns the lawn of the newly constructed alumni center. * 612 x 408 * (58KB)
* This Zen garden is also part of the lawn outside th
e new alumni center.  Rather peaceful, isn't it? * 408 x 612 * (55KB)
* This building is the brand new pride and joy of Penn State. It houses classrooms for Information Technology students. It connects two buildings across Atherton St., the main business road in town. * 612 x 408 * (35KB)

* This is the same building from another angle. There is a walking bridge along the underside of the building so that students can cross the busy street safely. Quite impressive, eh? Quite ugly too, eh? * 612 x 408 * (23KB)
* This is my favorite building in all of State College - a fraternity house called Fiji that sits on the corner of two main streets on campus. I wish it wa
s my own house.... * 612 x 408 * (40KB)
* Pattee Library! A huge huge libarary, designed for students and faculty but utilized by the entire community. * 612 x 408 * (36KB)
* Inside the library, a stuffed display of our university mascot, the Nittany lion. I'll bet this was the last one ever to live in this area - no more mountain lions exist in Central Pennsylvania! * 612 x 408 * (30KB)
* And here is the famous Nittany Lion statue, a shrine to university pride and heritage. * 612 x 408 * (37KB)
* This is the Palmer Museum of art, a public gallery on campus. Note the two gigantic lion paws adorning the entrance! * 612 x 408 * (26KB)
